Time Stands Still when I listen to them

Check my video of Cut Copy's "Time Stands Still" from their gig last friday at the Glass House.

I heart them so. And despite the technical difficulties, I loved their set at Detour. Nothing like rocking out on the streets of downtown Los Angeles.

Reaching out to you tonight...

Check the new video for Cut Copy's "Hearts on Fire"

Def one of the London jams from the Margo dj laptop!
If all goes as planned, I'll see you in a few months LDN.

Monday’s the new Saturday

Cut Copy ticket to sold out show: $20
Vodka Drinks: $6 +tip
Digital proof that my scrambling for a ticket to see them for the fourth time was totally worth it: priceless (or simply free and exhilirating)

Thanks Cut Copy for making my monday night...again.

Hearts on Fire

If you missed the Cut Copy dance night last month, check the very nice video coverage at Anthem Online. That show was AMAZING!!! I cannot wait to dance to all the new tracks at Coachella.

I don't care if they had to buy Prince to drum up sales, I was going anyways to see Portishead. This shit is gonna be so insane. Cannot wait!

Sing it again

I am getting ramped up beyond belief for Cut Copy. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the last they were at the Echo, I had the time of my life! They owned that crowd, even the music label people were dancin' it up.

And now praises on LATimes, all to which I can say: It's about time.

Grab the Joakim remix of "Hearts on Fire" here from Modular.

And if you know what's up, you best RSVP for the after party next monday.

In Ghost Colours

"Lights & Music"

This Cut Copy video is alright, a little something to wet the whistle.

The real news is their long-awaited return to the states. I'll be seeing them in LA at the Echo, March 10th. After that, they're gonna show their stuff at SxSw, which I think I'm skipping this year. And then finally, I'll have my hands on Cut Copy's new disc when it's released in the US on April 8th. Just in time for me to get familiar with it before Coachella.

In Ghost Colours tracklisting:

01 Feel the Love
02 Out There on the Ice
03 Lights & Music
04 We Fight for Diamonds
05 Unforgettable Season
06 Cold Youth
07 Midnight Runner
08 So Haunted
09 Voices in Quartz
10 Hearts on Fire
11 Far Away
12 Silver Thoughts
13 Strangers in the Wind
14 Visions
15 Nobody Lost, Nobody Found
16 Eternity One Night Only

Here's what the boys have to say in this interview on Spinner.

New Cut Copy on the horizon

Cut Copy expect to finish their album by the end of this year, so as to have an international release in 2008! Forget Kanye, this is the album I've been waiting on for a looooong time. Tim Goldsworthy, the legendary DFA producer, is the perfect choice for their sophmore album.

'Bright Like Neon Love' is definitely on permanent rotation on the ipod, but it's always good to have new music once in awhile. If you don't own their debut album, you are missing out. I listened to the whole thing on repeat whilst driving (very hungover) to San Diego on Sunday. It was perfect score for a daytrip down south.
