Zooey Deschanel, sister of Emily Deschanel from Fox's Bones, has just landed the role of Janis Joplin. She beat out Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, and the real rival, Scarlett Johansson! Okay, Lindsay and Brit didn't have a chance in hell. But Scarlet apparently has a powerful agent.
I actually like Zooey in most films I've seen her in. She's cute and can actually act. Unlike those other two whores.
