Silversun Pickups are one of the LA bands from the Silverlake area that has it together. They have an atmostpheric grunge sound with the overdubbed guitars and heady vocals.
If you are a woxy.com member, they just played an awesome lounge act (Kissing Families, Lazy Eye, Future Foe..). I'm sure they'll put it up in there archives soon.
My personal faves are "Little Lover, So Polite" and "Lazy Eye".
